Organizing societies

ADIVET, established in 2003, is a member of the WGIN (World Green Infrastructure Network). The association brings together the key players in the green roofing industry (manufacturers, building and landscaping contractors, professional associations, etc.). It recently expanded to encompass the green wall industry, a sector in which many of its members have been present for several years. Concerning roofing , the hard work and dedication of the association and its members in recent years (training/information/experimentation) has resulted in a boom in green roofs in France, with more than one million square metres installed in 2011. ADIVET is also recognized as a reference organization in its field and is co-editor of the French Professional Standards for Green Roofs and Terraces together with the UNEP (National Union of Landscaping Companies) and the CSFE (French Waterproofing Association).
WGIN is a non-profi t organization based in Toronto, currently representing some twenty countries, including the United States, China, Australia, etc. Its goal is to promote the development of green roofs and walls internationally. The first International Congress was held in 2009 in Toronto and the second in 2010 in Mexico. A Regional Conference is planned in Hangzhou (China) in October 2012, then a World Congress in Nantes (France) in 2013 and, after that, Sydney (Australia) in 2014.
